Sarah Marshall holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Ball State University and a Master of Interdisciplinary Arts from San Francisco State University. She began her architectural career in New York City and continued it in Chicago, IL, San Francisco, CA, finally landing in Napa, CA where she joined the firm of Napa Design Partners.
Her 25+ years of work has included multi-family housing, commercial development, community centers and custom residential in both urban and rural settings. Sarah has worked in several small-scale firms, operated as a single practitioner, and now partners at a small architectural and interior design firm that specializes in commercial development, historic preservation, and custom residential estates in wine country. Through her work with partner Stephen Cuddy, AIA and Jill Andrews, ASID Napa Design Partners has been fortunate to receive several awards for their historic preservation and adaptive reuse.
Early in Sarah’s career she looked for community opportunities to share her love of architecture and became dedicated to working with youth, ages 4 through 18. For 20 years, she has carved out time to work in various programs including: LEAP: Architects and Artists in Schools Program, Bay Area Discovery Museum, Architectural Foundation of San Francisco youth program and independently in various schools within the SF Unified School District. Studying architecture from around the world has been a way to explore and unify the multicultural backgrounds of her students.
