Napa Design Partners first served as the Architect of Record in 2015–2016 to repair the Senior Activity Center’s social hall and various interior areas damaged during the South Napa Earthquake. Our second and more extensive engagement began in late 2017 and continued through 2020, leading the architectural and interior design upgrades for the full Senior Activity Center complex.

Working from a Basis of Design prepared by the City of Napa and a program developed with the City’s Parks and Recreation Department, Napa Design Partners provided comprehensive design services. Our scope included assessment of the two existing buildings totaling 11,700 s.f., integration of the City’s proposed improvement program, schematic design for public review, preparation of complete construction documents (PSE), and coordination with county and city agencies with oversight authority. We also provided construction‑phase assistance in close collaboration with City of Napa Public Works engineering staff and Parks and Recreation staff responsible for delivering the planned facility improvements.

During the design process, we additionally supported the City in outlining future site improvements, identified as Phase Two, which remain pending.
